  2. v.good review. The "osteos"- have always confused me.

    Osteomalacia/rickets = reduced bone mineralisation secondary to reduced vitamin D levels.


    Osteoporosis/penia = reduced bone density
    Remember osteomalacia is now most often found in those with reduced sun exposure (=reduced activation of vitamin D). e.g. Women who are completley covered up.
